Main Research Interests (Hillslope Hydrology; Tracer Hydrology; Groundwater Hydrology; Hydrogeology)

*        Rainfall-runoff mechanism in small headwater catchments under the effect of thinning

Ø  Determination of storm hydrograph components and subsurface flow processes by hydrometric and multi-tracer approaches

Ø  Variation processes of stable isotopic composition and solute concentrations in subsurface water along with the rainfall-runoff processes

Ø  Relationship between subsurface flow and hillslope processes

*          Age dating of groundwater/spring water/river water using CFCs (Chlorofluorocarbons) and SF6 concentration: We have developed an analytical system of CFCs and SF6 concentrations in terrestrial water firstly in Japan coordinated with Geoscience Lab. Co. Ltd.

Ø  Residence time of groundwater and groundwater flow system in a region of South Alps Japan in collaboration with Suntory Co. Ltd.

Ø  Age mapping of spring water in the mountainous regions of Japan
